Cruise Ships

For many years the staff at Marine Metal has worked on cruise ships, and has considerable knowledge of the regulations and requirements of this industry.

Due to Lymington's close proximity to Southampton we are always available seven days a week to attend vessels on their turnarounds in port, to carry out essential repairs, or survey works to be manufactured and delivered back to the ship, next time in.

We can also supply men and materials to carry out work on the run, and have in the past had labour as far away as New Zealand.

Marine Metal has also been involved in major refits either through our close association with outfitting companies, or with cruise ship owners direct.

Listed below are just a few examples of works carried out on cruise ships:

  • Galley and Pantry repairs to USPH standard
  • Swimming pool hand rails and Ladders
  • Modifications to smoke extract systems
  • Curved brass foot rails
  • Spun table bases
  • Bunk bed brackets for crew accommodation
  • Disabled ramps
  • Construct a new stage.

In addition to metal work, we can also supply and fit structural fire protection conforming to SOLAS regulations along with exhaust and pipework insulation and cladding.
